Connecticut: Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Operating since 1842, the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the oldest in the country. The Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Connecticut’s largest single-day spectator event attracting more than 325,000 people to the streets New Haven each year. The parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. on March 16, 2025, showcasing marching bands, colorful floats, and Irish dancers.

Maine: Portland St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Portland’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade brings the community together with multiple marching groups including the Irish American Club’s Parade of Flags, two pipe and drum bands, the Stillson School of Irish Dance team, representatives from the US Navy crew aboard the USS Gallagher, and local police and fire departments. The Irish American Club’s Saint Patrick’s Parade will be held this year on Sunday, March 16, 2025 and will begin at Noon. The parade route is along Commercial Street in Portland from the Fish Pier to Bellbuoy Park, just shy of the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal building. Massachusetts: Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Boston hosts one of the largest and most famous St. Patrick’s Day parades in the country. South Boston, also known as “Southie,” is home to the city’s parade, which has been an annual tradition since 1901. The Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off Sunday March 16, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. and features bagpipers, Irish dancers, colorful floats, and marching bands, drawing over a million spectators. The city’s Irish history is on full display, with pubs and restaurants serving traditional Irish fare, live music, and plenty of Guinness.

New Hampshire: Manchester Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

Manchester’s St. Patrick’s Parade is a highlight in New Hampshire, featuring marching bands, festive floats, and cultural organizations. This parade keeps the St. Patrick’s vibe alive and doesn’t compete with the other states by holding its parade on March 30, 2025, stepping off at noon. The parade takes place on Elm Street, drawing crowds from across the state.

Rhode Island: Newport St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Newport’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a festive celebration featuring pipe bands, marching bands, and community groups. The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. on March 15, 2025, starting from Newport City Hall and winding through the historic downtown area.

Vermont: St. Albans Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

The Saint Albans St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on St. Patrick’s Day itself, Monday, March 17.

The parade winds through downtown St. Albans, starting at Taylor Park and heading to City Hall for Irish Festivities to include live music by American Celtic Rock band Prydein, a dance performance by UVM’s Celtic Cats Irish Dance Team, Bagpipe music, green punch for the kids, shamrock tattoos and more!  Irish fare will be available for purchase and a cash bar will be available for the grown ups!
